Human Rights everywhere got a serious hit today

So Brahim Ghali left Spain on a private jet, right after assuring the court that he is “not going anywhere”

I wonder how Ghali was able to get in-and-out of Spain with an ease usually reserved only for state leaders. Basically, the protection of human rights *everywhere* received a real hit.

Funny how accusations like this aren’t taken seriously anymore (i.e genocide, torute, etc.). Read my last post to understand more about the rushed and orchestrated journey Ghali took into Spain (with fake documents!!). The journey on the way out is just as crazy.

The Sahrawis, the ethnic group living under Poliasrio/Ghali’s rule in the Tindouf camps, desperately need the VIP treatment (not to mention basic human compassion) which was directed at Ghali when he contracted COVID.

The #WesternSahara deserves decisive action — more aid workers in #Tindouf camps NOW, more medical supplies (especially COVID tests, vaccines, masks, etc.), and especially an unforgiving attitude towards the Polisario.

If the West continues to allow Polisario leaders like Ghali to move freely and escapte trial, we’re basically telling militias like the Polsario that they can continue plundering their own people, imprisoning them, torturing them, not to mention rape, forced marriage and domestic slavery.

Ugh. I expected more. When this story broke about the false identity, I at least thought Ghali would have a hard time getting out without testifying in court.
